Miss Universe
Client: Miss Universe Organization (FOX, Roku, Telemundo) | Role: Senior Producer & Senior Editor | Format: Global Live Broadcast & Docu-Series Segments
The Project: A multi-year, bilingual mandate with the Miss Universe Organization to drive the pre-recorded content for their globally syndicated live broadcast. Traveling to host countries including the Philippines, Thailand, El Salvador, and across the United States, I was trusted by MUO executive leadership—including President Paula Shugart—to shape the narrative for the world's most visible pageant.
How I Brought It To Life:
Field & Story Producing: Led international field crews and conducted intimate interviews with dozens of contestants worldwide to craft the emotional, documentary-style "Up Close and Personal" (UCAP) packages.
Senior Editing (Avid & Premiere): Managed editorial teams and personally cut high-impact, rapid-turnaround segments in both English and Spanish for global delivery across FOX, Roku, and Telemundo.
Live Broadcast Integration: Thrived in a high-stakes, live-event environment, ensuring all pre-recorded packages strictly met broadcast specifications and seamlessly aligned with executive messaging on the night of the show.
World's Strongest Man
Client: CBS Sports Network & Film 45 | Role: Editor | Format: Global Sports Broadcast Series
The Project: A premier international sports competition series airing globally on CBS Sports Networks. The objective was to take massive amounts of raw, pre-recorded competition footage and sculpt it into high-energy, suspenseful sports action episodes that fit incredibly strict network time constraints.
How I Brought It To Life:
Broadcast Editing (Avid): Cut complex event coverage into tight, adrenaline-fueled broadcast timelines, meticulously editing to exact network Total Running Times (TRT) without losing the narrative tension of the competition.
Hybrid Workflow Management: Seamlessly transitioned from a traditional in-suite post-production environment at MPE to a fully remote Avid workflow for Film 45, ensuring zero drop in delivery speed or quality.
Team Collaboration: Coordinated directly with a dedicated team of editors and producers across multiple seasons to ensure stylistic consistency, pacing, and graphic integration remained uniform across all episodes.
Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade
Client: ABC, Hulu & Disney (via Film 45 / Endeavor) | Role: Segment Editor | Format: National Live Broadcast Event
The Project: A staple of holiday television, the Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade is a massive live-to-tape broadcast event airing nationally on ABC and streaming on Hulu. I was tasked with editing pre-taped, narrative-driven packages to be seamlessly integrated into the live show, including high-energy promotional spots for EPCOT’s 50th Anniversary and the deeply emotional, standout feature on 11-year-old Orion Jean’s "Race to Kindness."
How I Brought It To Life:
Narrative Assembly: Crafted cohesive, heartwarming story arcs from raw interviews and b-roll, balancing the emotional weight of human-interest stories with the magical, premium aesthetic of the Disney brand.
Remote Post-Production (Avid): Executed a highly collaborative remote editing workflow in Avid Media Composer, trading cuts with show producers and package producers over several weeks.
Stakeholder Management: Navigated rigorous feedback loops from multiple high-level stakeholders (Network, Production Company, and Brand), ensuring all segments hit strict broadcast delivery specs and runtimes before the live air date.
